UFAZ first-year student receiving his Unistra student card
On December 11, 2019, UFAZ first-year students received their Unistra student cards during the yearly traditional student card ceremony.
The ceremony was attended amongst others by the Ambassador of France to Azerbaijan, HE Zacharie Gross, ASOIU Rector, Professor Mustafa Babanli, President Delegate for International relations and research of Unistra, UFAZ scientific expert, Professor Philippe Turek, as well as BP and Schlumberger representatives who have been conducting Guest Lecture Series for UFAZ students throughout the Fall semester of 2019/2020 academic year.
This annual event started with UFAZ Student Club Fair, where founders of the clubs had a chance to exhibit their stands for interested students to join them. French Ambassador together with ASOIU Rector, visited stands and received brief information about each student club and their activities.
During his speech, Ambassador HE Zacharie Gross underlined the specificity of UFAZ as an embodiment of a European university in Azerbaijan and encouraged students to enhance their knowledge and practices in science by pursuing Master and Doctoral degrees.
Later UFAZ Management presented certificates of appreciation to partner companies (BP and Schlumberger) actively engaged this semester in Guest lectures with UFAZ fourth-year Bachelor students thus contributing to the professional development of students.
UFAZ second-year students Laman Jalilova from Chemical Engineering and Toghrul Babayev from Geosciences Engineering shared their student experiences at UFAZ and benefits of having Unistra student card.
Event wrapped up with 4 students being presented Unistra cards by the Ambassador and the Rector based on their admission results.
With this new promotion of 139 students (average entrance score of 602 points at SEC admission exam), UFAZ counts today 538 students.
