UFAZ students Farhad Azimov, Abbas Aliyev və Imran Jabrayilov (Team of UFAZ 2) won the 3rd place at the 44th International Collegiate Programming Contest (ICPC) on regional level (XVII Azerbaijan Championship). 

2 more UFAZ teams (UFAZ 3 - Nadir Shikhli, Anar Mammadov and Rustam Aliyev; and UFAZ 1 - Kanan Gurbanov, Javid Majidzada, and Kanan Mammadov) won the 7th and 14th places respectively. 

UFAZ teams were rewarded with the 1st, 2nd, and 3rd ranked diplomas respectively. 

Overall 87 teams from 24 higher education institutions took part in the competition. Each team consisted of 3 students.

Participants were asked to solve 14 algorithmic problems in 5 hours using C, C++, Java and Python programming languages. The assessment was carried out based on an automatic evaluation system.

The names of teams that will be representing Azerbaijan at semi-finals of 46th International Collegiate Programming Contest (ICPC) to be held in 2022 will be announced in January, 2022.
