UFAZ students won the 1st place at Smart Hackathon 2023

UFAZ 2nd year Computer Science students Latifa Mammadova and Abid Gurbanov won the 1st place, while UFAZ 3rd year Computer Science student Orkhan Abdullayev won the 3rd place at "The Smart Hackathon 2023" organized by SPE Khazar University, Khazar University, MLK Tech Group on April 29-30, 2023.
Orkhan shared his impressions: “During the 2 days of challenge, we introduced and implemented our AI-powered (ARIMA-supported) innovative solution to minimize energy loss in Solar Energy Consumption & Generation. Getting recognized in the hackathon has been a rewarding experience, and it has filled me with a sense of motivation to continue pursuing innovative solutions to real-world problems. Overall, I think hackathons provide an excellent opportunity for teams to collaborate and develop innovative solutions to real-world problems.
Abid shared his impressions as well: “The hackathon lasted 2 days. On the 1st day of the hackathon, we worked on the prototype, and on the second day, we worked on the business model. Our project was about agricultural fields. We proposed a solution to increase soil fertility with the application of artificial intelligence.”
