The results of The "Secure Energy" Hackathon have been announced today. Hackathon kicked off at Azerbaijan State Oil and Industry University (ASOIU) on December 5th and was sponsored by one of the energy providers related to the ELECTRON project within the framework of "HORIZON 2020", ASOIU partner. 8 teams of students from several higher education institutions completed the provided tasks during 40 hours.

The hackathon was dedicated to topics aimed at solving problems in the direction of cyber security of energy providers in Azerbaijan and Europe, improving the management of energy networks with the application of smart technologies. In their solutions, teams were supported by mentors from Europe and Azerbaijan.

After the evaluation of the jury, the Perihelion team of UFAZ students (Rasul Alakbarli, Ilkin Karimli, Kamal Alasgarli and Arif Abdullayev) won the 1st place, and the Homelanders team (Elgun Hasanov, Fatulla Bashirov, Rishad Akhundov and Orkhan Gahramanov) won the 3rd place.
