TensorScience team of UFAZ, ActInSpace Azerbaijan, May 2018
When team leader and UFAZ 3rd year Geophysics student Tofig Nazarbayov speaks about how his team made it to Marseille, we can feel endorphins all over the place as it was indeed a great breakthrough by the TensorScience team. Why a breakthrough? Because the team was not discouraged by taking second place during ActInSpace Azerbaijan (May 25-26, UFAZ) and they decided to apply for special prizes from the international sponsors of ActInSpace. And they did the right thing!
The team looks like the five fingers of the same hand working in a very thorough manner! Meet Tofig-the Engine (UFAZ), Nargiz-the Business Insider (UFAZ), Malik – the Researcher (UFAZ), Leyla – the Designer (AUAC) and Maryam – the Idea person (UFAZ).
“In June 2018, we received an email from the European GNSS Agency (Global Navigation Satellite System) informing us we had won the GSA Prize of the European GNSS Agency! We were over excited about it: a trip to Marseille to participate in the European Space Week in early December sounded like a dream come true for us!” says Nargiz Mammadova – a member of the TensorScience team and 3rd-year Geophysics student of UFAZ.
The 5 team members are going to present their Geospinner project during the “Interconnectivity” panel taking place in Marseille (December 3-6, 2018) in the frame of the European Space Week - the European international conference connecting business leaders, policy-makers, international experts and space application user communities. Amongst high official guest speakers, there will be the Minister of Higher Education, Research and Innovation of France Frederique Vidal, the President of the French Space Agency Jean-Yves Le Gall (who attended ActInSpace Azerbaijan Final Jury at UFAZ on May 26) and the Director General of the European Space Agency, Johann-Dietrich Wörner.
The conference will last for 4 days, and the whole TensorScience team will have the opportunity to attend many interesting panels about spatial technologies and new trends of the sector, alongside professional and experts of EU space.
Good luck TensorScience, learn and enjoy!
