UFAZ students, faculty and administration
On April 12, 2019, UFAZ students organized their Francophonie Day Show with the French version of the famous intellectual game "Quoi? Où? Quand ?" and some musical performances at the Rotunda Hall of the Landmark Hotel Baku.
The event was held with the support of Bakcell and Landmark Hotel.
ASOIU Rector, Professor Mustafa Babanli, French Ambassador to Azerbaijan HE Aurelia Bouchez, Ambassador of Greece to Azerbaijan HE Nikolaos Kanellos, Ambassador of Belgium to Azerbaijan HE Bert Schoofs, Bakcell CEO Nikolai Beckers, representatives of Romanian Embassy, French Institute of Azerbaijan (IFA) and Lycée Français de Bakou (LFB), as well as UFAZ faculty, staff, and students attended the event.
The celebration started with a display of paintings by the Greek Ambassador HE Nikolaos Kanellos who generously made a donation of his paintings to UFAZ Animal Care Club.
Within the framework of Les Semaines de la Francophonie, UFAZ celebrated this year the 3rd edition of its Francophonie, and hosted a series of Francophone events during April 3-12:
Dictée Francophonie organized by the French Institute (IFA) on April 3, Salon Universitaire Francophone (International Higher Education Fair) organized by the French Embassy and Campus France on April 7, lecture by artist Vusal Ahmadov on “Modern Art in France: Its History and Development” on April 8, a personal photo exhibition by Aydin Sadikhov on “Architectural Masterpieces of France” on April 9, and Presentation on Higher Education in Switzerland by Swiss Embassy representatives on April 10.
