UFAZ students are back to the Laboratories
According to the decision of the Ministry of Education, learning activities that require access to campus facilities, such as practical and lab sessions, including capstone and final-year projects, starting from the week of February 15th, 2021 were allowed. We are happy to announce that students of French-Azerbaijani University are back to the UFAZ Laboratories.
On February 16, fourth-year students from Chemical Engineering (CE), Geophysical Engineering (GE), and Oil and Gas Engineering (PE) specialties had an opportunity to exercise the practical works of Experimental Chemistry (for CE) and Fluid Mechanics (for GE and PE) classes under the supervision of UFAZ Professors. Practical works are being regulated and monitored with fixed seating and safe distancing in teaching venues, as well as wearing masks all the time, considering the pandemic situation.
Laboratory practical works are commonly intercalated with theoretical and seminar classes in packages that cover single units of a given course program. This way students have an opportunity to receive an integrated view of the subjects. As it is done for the rest of the curricula, the program of every experimental work is provided by the University of Strasbourg.
These UFAZ laboratories are equipped in full compliance with the University of Strasbourg standards. Let us also note that this new 2500m² building includes: 3 chemistry laboratories, 1 chemical engineering laboratory, 4 laboratories in physics and applied physics, as well as 2 computer science labs (networking
