Aylin Alakbarli, UFAZ 2nd year Geosciences Engineering student
Starting from Spring semester of 2019/2020 academic year, UFAZ second year Geosciences Engineering student Aylin Alakbarli will be receiving one-semester exchange student experience at the University of Alcalá (Spain) within the Erasmus+ program.
Aylin Alakbarli, 2nd year Geosciences Engineering student: “I have decided to apply for the program when I saw the announcement in September at ASOIU IR office. In the first phase, we were required to provide resume, motivation letter and minimum overall score of 6 in IELTS. Since I already had 7,5 IELTS score, I have successfully passed this stage. Next stage was the interview. Although there were a number of universities among my options, my preference was the University of Alcalá, since I always wanted to study and live in Spain for at least a semester. I am glad to get exchange student experience and meet new people.”
To recall, on October 24, 2018, Buitrago Jimenez Daniel and Lopez Gomez Silvia, representatives from the International Cooperation Department of the University of Alcalá, visited the French-Azerbaijani University as part of their training program in the Azerbaijan State Oil and Industry University within the framework of Erasmus + Exchange Program.
6 students of the French-Azerbaijani University have already been studying at the University of Strasbourg (France) as an exchange student within the Erasmus+ program starting from 2019/2020 academic year.

Its budget of €14.7 billion will provide opportunities for over 4 million Europeans to study, train, and gain experience abroad. Set to last until 2020, Erasmus+ doesn't just have opportunities for students. Merging seven prior programs, it has opportunities for a wide variety of individuals and organizations. The aim of Erasmus+ is to contribute to the Europe 2020 strategy for growth, jobs, social equity, and inclusion, as well as the aims of ET2020, the EU's strategic framework for education and training. Erasmus+ also aims to promote the sustainable development of its partners in the field of higher education and contribute to achieving the objectives of the EU Youth Strategy.
