At UFAZ, there are many students who are doing extra curriculum activities once the classes are over. This demands a lot of energy and enthusiasm, and time of course! We will be sharing some inspiration stories of our students with our reader so that you get acquainted with the people of UFAZ who are making life at the University colourful and interesting. One of them is Alika Semikhova who is one of the most sporty representatives of the newly admitted students of the 2018/19 academic year.

Alika studied in "Erudit" school in Baku and now is a student of Chemical Engineering. Alika was studying hard to get into UFAZ. Sometimes, she says, it was impossible to balance both Karate and preparations for the entrance exam.

She has been practicing Karate for the last 10 years and is very into this sport. Alika is hoping to manage sports and studying at UFAZ because she has plans for her future in sports. She already has a black belt and medals from different international competitions. She is also very proud to be the captain of the Samurai Karate Club.
