On November 14-15, 2019, UFAZ participated in the annual International Education Exhibition held in Ashgabat, Turkmenistan, 

At the invitation of the Ministry of Education of Turkmenistan, UFAZ Secretary General Charlotte Payen participated in the international education fair and the scientific conference organized on a annual basis by the Turkmen government.

Following a traditional opening ceremony and senior government officials’ visit to the exhibitors’ booths that UFAZ shared with the French Institute of Ashgabat, UFAZ Secretary General was given to opportunity to briefly present the French-Azerbaijani University to the Vice Premier Mr Agamyradov in presence of the French Ambassador of France to Turkmenistan, Mr Françoise Delahousse. 

Besides the exhibition, Charlotte Payen actively contributed to the scientific conference, on the topic of "The French-Azerbaijani University (UFAZ): the experience of a successful bilateral university cooperation", introducing thus the many positive impacts that UFAZ triggers in the bilateral relations between France and Azerbaijan, and in the modernization of the teaching of the experimental sciences in Azerbaijan. 

It should also be noted that since 2017, UFAZ hosts one foreign student from Turkmenistan, and hopefully many more to come in the coming years thanks to such exhibitions.

The aim of this annual exhibition and conference is to promote the development of the education and sport sectors as key areas of state social policy in Turkmenistan, and to reflect current trends in these fields. The event is being jointly organised by the Ministry of Education, the Ministry of Sport and Youth Affairs and the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Turkmenistan.
