On February 20th, French-Azerbaijani University (UFAZ) celebrated the graduation of 135 Bachelor and 35 Master students. Among the distinguished guests at the diploma ceremony were Prof. Mustafa Babanli, Rector of Azerbaijan State Oil and Industry University, Mrs. Anne Boillon, Ambassador of France in Azerbaijan, and Prof. Pierre Collet, who represented the President of the University of Strasbourg.
During the ceremony, UFAZ Secretary General Elizaveta Bydanova welcomed the graduates and guests, highlighting the university's continued success with its top-performing graduates. Prof. Babanli congratulated the graduates, noting that this was a significant milestone for both UFAZ and Azerbaijan as a whole. He also remarked that this is the first edition of UFAZ Master graduates, a noteworthy achievement for the university.
Prof. Collet expressed his congratulations on behalf of Michel Deneken, the President of Strasbourg University, praising the hard work and dedication of UFAZ students. He mentioned the recent victory of UFAZ students at the ActInSpace international Hackathon in France, emphasizing that the winning team was composed of non-computer science students.
Ambassador Boillon congratulated the graduates, underlining the importance of encouraging more women to pursue engineering studies.
35% of UFAZ students are females, added Elizaveta Bydanova.
The event concluded with testimonies from two UFAZ graduates, Sakina Mammadova and Orkhan Gahramanov, who shared their experiences of studying at UFAZ.
The Executive Director of UFAZ, Vazeh Asgarov, expressed gratitude to all partners, particularly the permanent and invited professors from Strasbourg University.
UFAZ congratulates all of its Bachelor and Master graduates on their achievements and wishes them the best of luck in their future endeavors.
