UFAZ organized a mini symposium dedicated to Geology

On March 2, 2022, French-Azerbaijani University (UFAZ) organized a mini-symposium dedicated to Earth sciences, and more specifically to geology.

The expert guests explained how they analyze our planet to understand its functioning and exploit its resources. During the event, Dr. Baylar Aslanov, from SOCAR ‘Geological and Geophysical Compilations’ Department delivered a lecture on “Evlakh-Agdjebedi Mesozoic sediments - Oil&Gas perspectives”, Dr. Guilherme Bozetti, from Earth and Environment Institute of Strasbourg delivered a lecture on “The use of outcrops’ architectural analysis for reservoir facies prediction”, and finally, Dr. Mathieu Schuster, from Earth and Environment Institute of Strasbourg delivered a lecture “Wind-driven lakes: The role of wind in the transfer and distribution of terrigenous sediments in large lakes”.

The symposium was also lived broadcasted on UFAZ's BBB network, and professors and teachers from the University of Strasbourg took part in the discussions. You can watch the recording of the mini symposium on the UFAZ Facebook page.

To recall, the UFAZ Research Department organizes weekly seminars for promoting science and enhancing research in different fields. It allows participants to exchange on the related topics and discover possible collaboration opportunities between researchers.
