UFAZ hosts “Complex Computational Ecosystems (CCE '23)” international conference

On April 25, 2023, an international scientific conference, entitled, “Complex Computational Ecosystems (CCE '23)” kicked off at French-Azerbaijani University (UFAZ).

At the opening ceremony Deputy Minister of Science and Education Hasan Hasanli, Ambassador of France to Azerbaijan Anne Boillon, Vice-Rector of Azerbaijan State Oil and Industry (ASOIU) University Professor Latafat Gardashova, Professor of the University of Strasbourg (Unistra) Pierre Collet and Executive Director of UFAZ Vazeh Askarov welcomed the participants, emphasized the significance of the conference and wished success.

The Conference, co-organized by UFAZ, ASOIU, Unistra and the Complex Computational Ecosystem e-laboratory of the Complex Systems Digital Campus (CS-DC), UNESCO UniTwin will last for 3 days. 

CCE’23 is the first of a future series of triennial international conferences taking place in Baku, Azerbaijan and it is planned to be repeated every 3 years.

The Conference is devoted to all scientists involved in transdisciplinary challenges crossing theoretical questions with empirical observations of multi-level and multi-modal computational ecosystems. In addition to Azerbaijan (3 papers), France (5 papers), Ireland (3 papers), Japan (2 papers), USA/Czech Republic, Germany, Ecuador and Mauritania (1 paper each), a total of 17 scientific papers will be presented at the conference. 16 papers have been accepted for publication by the Springer, international journal.

The conference will be held in a hybrid format. 18 speakers and 5 keynote speakers are expected to speak at the event. Among them are UFAZ Computer Science teachers Ulviyya Abdulkarimova, Rauf Fatali and Samer El Zant, as professor Latafat Gardashova and Babek Girimov from ASOIU)
