UFAZ Executive Director participated at the conference of rectors of Francophone universities held in Bucharest.

On June 30, the Executive Director of the French-Azerbaijani University, Vazeh Askarov, participated at the meeting of the Regional Conference of the Rectors of the Universities that are members of the Francophone Universities Agency for Eastern and Central Europe in Bucharest, the capital of Romania.
At the event attended by representatives of 11 countries, the charter of C2R-ECO (Regional Conference of Francophone Rectors for Eastern and Central Europe) was adopted, the chairman and members of the board of directors were elected. Dan Cascaval, the rector of the Georghe Asachi Technical University of Romania, was elected the chairman of the new institution.
C2R-ECO aims to develop scientific cooperation and francophone projects among member universities, to promote French language teaching, French-language teaching programs and a network of francophone researchers.
Rectors of higher education institutions of Bulgaria, Romania, Ukraine, Moldova, Georgia, Serbia, Slovakia, Macedonia, Kosovo and other countries also participated in the meeting.
UFAZ and ASOIU are full members of the International Agency of Francophone Universities (AUF).
