A conference dedicated to the presentation of the French edition of the book "Lesson on the French Language" by Rovshan Agayev, chief specialist of the Ministry of Education of the Republic of Azerbaijan, writer-publicist, was held on April 8 at the French-Azerbaijani University. The event was jointly organized by UFAZ and French Embassy in Azerbaijan, in the framework of Francophonie Days in Azerbaijan.

Welcoming the guests, UFAZ Executive Director, Dr. Vazeh Asgarov spoke about the history of Azerbaijani-French relations. Then, Rovshan Agayev presented his book to the participants.

Rovshan Agayev was born in 1949. After completing his humanitarian and technical education, he worked in the oil industry from 1972 to 1982. In addition to being the author of 3 documentaries and more than 40 scientific articles, he worked as a teacher and journalist for some time. Rovshan Agayev has worked in government agencies for more than 25 years. He was awarded honorary diplomas of the Supreme Soviet of the Republic of Azerbaijan and the Ministry of Education of the Republic of Azerbaijan.

The story presented to readers in the book tells about a retired Azerbaijani teacher of the French language. The book describes in detail how interesting the lesson is to learn French. The story pays special attention to the history and development of Azerbaijani-French relations. The author touches on important philosophical issues related to the spiritual and social life of society.

The event was attended by writer Chingiz Abdullayev, son of the French National Hero Ahmadiyya Jabrailov, Javanshir Jabrailov, as well as friends and guests of the author. At the end of the event, the author held a signing session for the guests.
