On October 18 2018, Ministry of Education of Azerbaijan organised special seminar on "Innovations in organization of the additional education of the staff" for media representatives as part of the 5 years anniversary since the adoption of the "State Strategy for the Development of Education in Azerbaijan."

The seminar was organised in the Big Conference Hall of UFAZ. The main guests of the seminar were the employees of the Minsitry of Education, the Institute of the Professional Development of Education in Azerbaijan, experts in education, media and PR specialists of the Ministry of Education of Azerbaijan. 

The Director of the Institute for Professional Development of Employees in Education Industry Vafa Yagublu, talked about the positive dynamics in the field of education over the past five years in Azerbaijan, after the adoption of the "State Strategy for the Development of Education in Azerbaijan", which was approved by the President Ilham Aliyev on October 24, 2013.

Deputy Director of the Institute Nazakat Mehdiyeva made a presentation about "Innovations in the organization of additional education of educators."

Namik Naghiyev, the Deputy Director of the Institute for the Professional Development of Employees in the Education Industry informed the audience that more than 29,000 teachers were involved in the professional trainings in 2015-2018.

In 2018 only, 12050 teachers from two cities of Azerbaijan and 32 districts of Baku visited special qualification trainings. Seminar ended with the question and answer session.
