On October 11, 2019 UFAZ fourth-year Chemical Engineering students, together with UFAZ Oil and Gas Coordinator Fidan Aslanzade, visited LafargeHolcim Azerbaijan OJSC.

L&D Talent Manager, Mr. Davud Gambarzade welcomed UFAZ students and provided them with safety instruction before visiting the plant.

Students were accompanied on site by Mr Samir Hasanzade, Process Engineer of Garadagh Plant, and Mr Gambarzade to observe the whole process of cement production and to visit the laboratory, where lab assistants are taking material samples at every operational stage and running special tests for material quality, chemical composition and density.

Students had an opportunity to witness the successful union of high-quality material production, outstanding knowledge evaluation and safety guidance.

Such site visit are an important added value to the curriculum of the Chemical Engineering specialty of UFAZ, meant to introduce to students the various professional environments available after their graduation.
