June 11, 2021 12 UFAZ bachelor students of  2nd and 3rd year Chemical Engineering specialty together with UFAZ administration member Kamala Hashimova visited  the SOCAR Methanol Plant in Garadagh. 

Such site visits are an important added value to the curriculum of UFAZ specialties, meant to introduce to students the various professional environments available after their graduation, as well as the practices and experiences of the industrial world.

Head of the HSE department of the plant, Sardar Guliyev welcomed the students and delivered a comprehensive presentation about HSE and explained all health and safety rules.

Deputy Head of the Technological Department of the plant, Sirus Farzaliyev later took students to the plant and explained the insights of the methanol production process. 

The students also visited 3 laboratories of the SOCAR Methanol Plant, where analysis of methanol was provided.
