UFAZ 2nd year master students completed their field trip

During September 5-8th, 2022 UFAZ second-year master students of Geoscience participated in a 4-day geological field course in the region of Lahic under the supervision of Marc Jolivet and Cécile Robin from the University of Rennes 1, and Talat Kangarli and Shafag Bayramova from the Institute of Geology and Geophysics of ANAS.

Students learned of the geodynamic, sedimentary deposit and paleoenvironment that lead to the formation of the Great Caucasus. They did logging from hand measurements, drew cross-sections and learned to follow and recognize lithological units and structures.

UFAZ teachers Clara Jodry and Fidan Aslanzade also participated in the field experience.
