UFAZ announced Bachelor Admission Dates 2020/2021

French-Azerbaijani University is starting its admission to Bachelor Program for the academic year of 2020-2021.

Registration for the UFAZ entrance exam will take place on 29 September - 04 August through the online platform. Exam will be held on 07 September at 11:00 in the UFAZ main building.*  In order to prevent the spread of the disease during the coronavirus (Covid-19) pandemic, rooms were filled with a maximum of 10-12 individuals. The exam was organized in accordance with the instructions by the Ministry of Education and the rules of the special quarantine regime following necessary preventive measures such as social distancing and hygiene. The students that gained more than  500 points (of 700 points) during State Examination organized by the State Examination Center (SEC) in  group 1, can take part in the second UFAZ entrance exam organized and structured by the University of Strasbourg in Baku 

UFAZ entrance exam is available both in Azerbaijani and Russian languages, thus it is open for the high-school graduates of both Azerbaijani and Russian school departments. 

UFAZ entrance exam is Multiple Choice Question Exam that includes questions on the following disciplines:  

  • Physics (10 questions) - 20 points 

  • Chemistry (10 questions) - 20 points

  • Mathematics (10 questions) - 20 points

  • General scientific knowledge (10 questions) - 20 points

  • English language (exercises + essay) - 20 points

Depending on their admission results during the UFAZ exam, students are offered governmental or paying basis places at UFAZ. Each academic year, UFAZ admits 120 students on governmental basis (exempted from tuition fees throughout the 4 years of the program) and 40 students on paying basis. Admission ranking to UFAZ is based only on the UFAZ exam results (SEC results are not taken into account for the ranking).

UFAZ offers  4 specialities:

  1. Computer Science

  2. Oil and Gas Engineering

  3. Chemical Engineering

  4. Geophysical Engineering and Earth Sciences

Students who do pass the UFAZ entrance exam will have the  possibility to apply to other higher educational institutions in Azerbaijan.  This also applies to applicants who are admitted to UFAZ but refuse to register.

Applicants who pass the exam and become an UFAZ student after registration will lose the possibility to participate in the coding of the SEC.

*Registration and exam dates may be modified or extended depending on the SEC results announcement.
