The
#UFAZHackathon2022 competition organized among students at the French-Azerbaijani University started on March 5.
#UFAZ Executive Director Vazeh Asgarov greeted the participants and said that the competition was organized on the occasion of the 5th anniversary of the university and wished them a success. UFAZ Secretary General Elizaveta Bydanova said that UFAZ will host another international hackathon competition (ActInSpace) in the fall.
Then the head of the scientific committee of Hackathon Samer El Zant informed the participants about the rules of the competition and the tasks were distributed.
Along with UFAZ students, a total of 30 teams from 8 other universities of the country are participating in the 2-day competition (University of Economics, ADA University, Baku Engineering University, Baku Higher Oil School, Azerbaijan State Oil and Industry University, Khazar University, West Caspian University, the Academy of Public Administration under the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan).
The hackathon is dedicated to agriculture, technology, environment, finance, health and water management. A team of 3 people will perform programming tasks according to the given topics. At the end of the second day, the teams will present their results to the jury.
The winners of the competition will receive a cash prize of 3500 AZN for the 1st place, 2500 AZN for the 2nd place and 1500 AZN for the 3rd place, as well as special prizes from sponsors.
