THALES Azerbaijan Technical Director Mikhail Malinovsky
On 27 May 2019, Thales Azerbaijan Technical Director, Michael Malinovsky delivered an insightful presentation to UFAZ students about THALES company and a special teaching module designed especially for UFAZ Computer Science students.
Throughout this specific module conducted on 3 semesters, the selected students (maximum 10) are given classes on “Modern computer systems in Transport” (Module 1) and “Safety and reliability evolution for critical computer systems” (Module 2).
For the students, it is a unique opportunity to obtain knowledge and skills about automation and computer technologies in transports, in order to provide them with the relevant tools when seeking job opportunities in this field after their studies.
At the end of the course that also includes practical work sessions on the site of Baku Metropolitan, UFAZ students will receive a Thales certificate of completion.
Presentation wrapped up with question and answer session by UFAZ students and Mr. Michael Malinovsky.
To participate in this course students should go through special application procedure, based on their academic results and motivation letter.
The cooperation between the French-Azerbaijani University, Thales and Baku Metropolitan started with a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) signed in May 2018, in the frame of which a special teaching module dedicated to the Automation and Computer Technologies in Transports was created.
This mutually beneficial cooperation between UFAZ and Thales will broaden the educational program of the university and foster new and promising specialties. For Thales, this collaboration contributes to brand awareness and new promising technologies that the company can introduce in Azerbaijan.
