Students-participants of the 2018 Summer School in Strasbourg are ready to go!

2018-06-14

Forty students selected to take part in 2018 Summer School in Strasbourg are leaving Baku on June 30 until July 15. This year’s program is much like the last year’s and includes every day French language courses and conversation clubs in the afternoon. Before starting the French course, all students will have to pass French language evaluation test. The cultural program includes sightseeing tours to famous monuments, castles and international organizations. Among them the Château du Haut-Kœnigsbourg (a medieval castle located in the commune of Orschwille), the Historical Museum of Strasbourg. Finally, there will be a tour to strategic European Quarter of Strasbourg where the Council of Europe and European Parliament are located.

When asked about their expectations, students say they are very excited to be travelling for the first time to France and are willing to do cultural sightseeing. Almaz Omarov, first-year Oil&Gas Engineering students, says he is not only going there as a student but as a tourist: "I am looking forward to exploring new lifestyle, different culture and traditions. I am also very interested in getting acquainted with the physicians that work in physical laboratories. I would like to find out the reason behind their choice. Why they chose their profession, what are their plans and ideas about physical lab works etc."

We wish a very safe trip and only bright memories to all of the participants of this year's summer school in Strasbourg.
