Project Manager of OiEau International Office for Water visited UFAZ

On April 4 2023 the Secretary General of French Azerbaijani University Elizaveta Bydanova, UFAZ Geosciences Program Coordinator Clara Jodry, Head of Public & International Relations Department Kamil Piriyev and Project Manager Nazrin Shirinova met Project Manager of OiEau International Office for Water Philippe Seguin.
The guest was informed about UFAZ as well as educational procedures conducted at the university. Philippe Seguin gave comprehensive information about OiEau and how the new program - ‘EU4Environment – Water Resources and Environmental Data’ that will contribute to the EaP countries’ longer-term environmental, climate, and socio-economic resilience and aims to improve human health and wellbeing, as well as the achievement of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
During the meeting both parties offered various initiatives on further ways to cooperate. These are possible seminars of EU4Environment project experts on water management at UFAZ, UFAZ students’ participation at EU Student Week event in October, field trips of UFAZ students with OiEau experts in June and in September 2023, and joint workshops.
