Jean Béra from the Total Professeurs Associés was a guest speaker at UFAZ on May 1-3 2018.

Jean Béra is an experienced engineer in offshore and onshore drilling with a degree from the École Centrale de Nantes, a French engineering school based in Nantes, France.

Professor Béra came to share his experience and knowledge from the real-life experience at Total with second year oil and gas students. We have talked to Professor Béra about his rich experience in teaching. He has travelled a lot of countries and met with many oil an gas engineering students.

Jean Béra spent his whole career at TOTAL, and then decided to start teaching in France and abroad as a lecturer from the Association of Total Professors, which is uniting the retired engineers from TOTAL.

Every expert from this Association meets students and discusses their experience in the oil industry. Jean Béra underlined it is a very enriching experience both for professors and the students. Professors are being challenged by all the questions from the students' side and the students get motivated when hearing life long experiences and practice.
