On September 10th UFAZ Faculty members delivered a presentation on Earth Science Student Club for interested candidates.

Support Committee of the club UFAZ Geoscience coordinators Clara Jodry adn Elshan Abdullayev, Oil and Gas Coordinator Fidan Aslanzade and Secretary General Elizaveta Bydanova, as well as interested UFAZ students from various specialities attended the online meeting.

The participation in the Club is open to all students. For all that comes from Geophysics Engineering and Oil & Gas, it will allow you to gain a more enriched experience in the fields of Earth Science. For students who come from other programs, it is a great opportunity to discover what nature has to offer and how we can study it!

Earth Science Club involves organization of the Field Trips, technical sessions with invited specialists of Geosciences and Oil & Gas in Azerbaijan and visits to local and international companies. During the meeting of the Club Organization Committee, application rules to the committee, conditions of membership to the club, field trip examples, etc. were discussed.

The volunteering experience in such clubs is usually well considered by the employers and allows students to develop additional skills, for which regular curricular might not be enough (i.e. teamwork, organizational skills, better knowledge on professional opportunities). Field trips and knowledge of the sector industrial tissue shall bring insights on practical implications of what is learnt at UFAZ classes, increase motivation and understanding of professional realities, reinforce employability prospective and support further career choices and development.
