On July 10, 2019, UFAZ welcomed for his first official visit in Azerbaijan the President of the MEDEF, Mr Geoffroy Roux de Bézieux, leading an important delegation of 65 French companies visiting Azerbaijan to further develop economic and business ties between the two countries.

During this visit, the French-Azerbaijani University (UFAZ) concluded 2 Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Schlumberger, and also Alstom company. 

These MoUs seek to enhance and develop opportunities for internship and practical work for UFAZ students, as well as support for educational and joint scientific-research programs between the university and international companies. 

Amongst others, the Ambassador of France to Azerbaijan, HE Aurélia Bouchez, ASOIU Rector, Professor Mustafa Babanli, General Manager of Schlumberger for Azerbaijan and Georgia Aydin Karimov, Managing Director of Alstom for Azerbaijan and Georgia Elshan Zeynalov, Chairperson of the Azerbaijan-France Chamber of Commerce and Industry (CCIAF) Teyba Guliyeva and UFAZ Coordinator of University of Strasbourg (Unistra) Jean-Marc Planeix attended the signing ceremony.

The event wrapped up with a dynamic exchange between MEDEF President Geoffroy Roux de Bézieux and UFAZ students. 

After the official part, the event continued in a warm and friendly manner on UFAZ 4th floor with a lunch buffet offered to the guests.
