On October 10, Tomasso Masini, Technical Manager and Valentina Tamburri, Processing Coordinator of Lighthouse, delivered a lecture to UFAZ third-year Geophysical-Geoscience students.

Mr. Masini gave a comprehensive information about Kashagan project that Lighthouse Company implemented in Kazakhstan, as well as ongoing project between SAIPEM and BP in Azerbaijan.

Lecturer also provided students with brief information about the equipment they are using, including vessels and underwater vessels. He mentioned technical characteristics of vessels and other equipment, how they are used, thoroughly explained in-water activities, such as particular vessel used for offshore activities.

Mrs. Tamburri highlighted that for any offshore project, the seafloor accurate visualization is of high importance. Information about geology sub-strata are collected through geophysical survey methods and transformed to the user-defined view for the complete decision-making process.

Lighthouse Company has the operational capacity for geophysical measurements using special tools, which support spatial navigation, including vessel noise-reduction adjusted to the vessel size. These operations enable to create a complete solution for further marine projects in the installation of sea bottom-supported units.

The event wrapped up with a question and answer session.
