On October 17, 2019, 15 of UFAZ fourth-year Computer Science students, accompanied by UFAZ Administration, had their first visit to KPMG Azerbaijan office in the frame of UFAZ Career Workshops Series.

KPMG team - HR Manager Asiya Hagverdiyeva, HR Coordinator Aydan Badalova delivered a structured introductory presentation about KPMG - general information about the company, industry sectors it is working in (oil and gas, automotive, insurance, banking etc.), its largest clients in Azerbaijan (Socar, Central Bank, Azerpost, and etc.) and abroad (Lukoil, Estee Lauder, and etc.), corporate social responsibility projects, such as KPMG Fund activities, internal and environmental projects. Mrs. Hagverdiyeva also mentioned the vacant positions in KPMG that could be of interest for UFAZ students, namely Information Risk Management (IRM) and IT helpdesk. 

Later on, IRM Manager of KPMG Alikhayyam Guluzade underlined the importance of understanding business environment to form an IT strategy for the company. Based on the questions of students, he elaborated more on IT audit, cyber security, block chain and data analytics.

Presentation ended up with short testing of UFAZ student for the open position of IT Helpdesk specialist.
