Last semester we already had a chance to speak to our scientific expert and Computer Science Professor from the University of Strasbourg. 

Professor Collet talked about the advantages of education at UFAZ and of the opportunities that open to the UFAZ graduates as holders of two national diplomas - ASOIU diploma and Strasbourg University diploma or Rennes 1 University.

This time Professor Collet shared his views of the Fall semester exam results. He said that the results were very satisfactory considering the fact that many invited Professors are teaching for a very short period of time.

"UFAZ students seem very motivated. The difference between local and French students is that in France, as soon as you finish secondary school you can end up in any public university without going through special tests and exams. This means that the selection of the "best of the best" students start only during their education at the university. Whereas in Baku, all the fresh high school graduates have to go through the selection process meaning the SEC (State Examination Center) and in UFAZ case - through a special UFAZ test structured by the University of Strasbourg. This already makes it hard for anyone to get in and leaves space for the most motivated only". 

Professor Collet especially touched upon absence policy, which allows students to miss  some of the classes without any penalty points : "Some students overuse the 25% absence authorization, viewing it as a right to miss classes. However attendance is mandatory for all students who wish to succeed in their studies at UFAZ!".
