On October 16,  UFAZ administration received the HR Director of Schlumberger, Mr Fabrice Bouchaud for an extensive visit of UFAZ new laboratories.

Positively impressed by the premises and lab infrastructure of the university, Mr Bouchaud expressed his interest in supporting the further development of the collaboration between Schlumberger and UFAZ.   

Several aeras of cooperation were mentionned including internship possibilities in Azerbaijan and in France for UFAZ last year students, as well as exchange of instructors with Schlumberger learning centers.

UFAZ concluded a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Schlumberger in July 2019 that seeks to enhance and develop opportunities for internship and practical work for UFAZ students, as well as to foster educational and joint scientific-research programs.

Likewise, during this 2019/2020 academic year, UFAZ fourth-year Petroleum and Geophysical-Geoscience Engineering students are receiving technical lectures of Schlumberger representatives from Drilling & Manager Department.
