UFAZ PR Manager Nazrin Mirzayeva and UFAZ HR Consultant Afsana Latifova
Throughout the fall semester of the 2019 / 2020 academic year, UFAZ fourth-year students received various seminars as a part of their "Preparation for internship" course.
For the first time this year, UFAZ included for all the last year students, special modules to better prepare them for their internship and their first professional experiences.
These interactive lectures and trainings were organized as follow:
1. “Building a professional digital profile” by UFAZ Invited Professor Éric Christoffel from University of Strasbourg - The international social media network LinkedIn was naturally chosen, for its notoriety, its international dimension, and by the number of members. Students were taught to optimize their LinkedIn profile, focusing on the different aspects that attract the reader's attention, so that they retain the student's profile, either for an internship or for a job offer. UFAZ students can now build their network, connections, and contribute to the network by publishing articles, joining groups to show their interest in a given field, etc. to make themselves known to recruiters.
2. Drafting professional CV and tips on how to behave at interviews by Afsana Latifova, UFAZ HR consultant – This module was built to help youngsters make the first steps in building their careers. Students had a chance to ask questions from their job seeking experience and get answers on how to behave during recruitment process. As an output of the training all students improved their CVs and will use them in searching for internships.
3. Soft skills during interviews and at work by Nazrin Mirzayeva, UFAZ PR manager – An insight from communications point of view and practical advice based on professional experience.
To recall, in order to validate their French diploma, UFAZ’s last year students will have a 10 weeks compulsory internship starting next semester, from early March 2020 to May 2020.
This internship needs to be directly linked with the specialty of the students. Students will have to submit an internship report and will defend their internship in front of a jury during the month of June 2020.
