On June 27th and 28th, UFAZ NEXUS team, led by Sanan Chaharkama, showcased their project aimed at
#reducing #aircraft #emissions' impact on
#climate #change during the European Union Agency for Space Programme (EUSPA) Cassini Entrepreneurship Days 2023 in Prague, Czech Republic.
Comprising Omar Nuruzade, Sanan Chaharkama, Araz Shafiyev, Gular Ismayilova, and Emin Khalifayev, the NEXUS team previously
achieved success by winning the ActInSpace International Hackathon in Cannes, France (February 2023), and an additional Special prize from EUSPA.
Cassini Entrepreneurship Days, an initiative of the European Commission called CASSINI, supports space industry entrepreneurs, start-ups, and SMEs, providing essential resources and assistance throughout the innovation cycle. It provides various resources and assistance throughout the innovation cycle, from idea generation to market entry and growth. The goal is to facilitate the development of space companies, attract investment, and expand the market with new suppliers and services.
“Despite being the only non-EU team at the event, we took pride in participating after winning the EUSPA special prize in the Actinspace Competition. Sanan effectively presented our project to the audience, thoroughly enjoying the experience and being impressed by the event's organization, the diverse range of startups, and the attendees. Witnessing the downstream applications of space technology further inspired the team, fueling their ambition for a promising future”, said Omar Nuruzada.
Over the two-day event, numerous investors, accelerators, and members of the start-up community gathered to learn from over 50 EU start-ups. These start-ups showcased their space-based innovations and their contributions to the EU strategic agenda, engaging in pitching sessions, demonstrations, and valuable matchmaking and networking activities.
