On October 4 2018, the New Country Director of British Council Azerbaijan Mr Summer Xia visited UFAZ together with Deputy Director Nigar Baimova and the Responsable of the Exam Centre Nargiz Akbarova. The participants of the meeting Director Vazeh Asgarov, Secretary General Charlotte Payen, Head of Education Department Latifa Nasibova and PR&Communications Manager Nazrin Mirzayeva shared information about UFAZ and discussed main areas of cooperation with Mr Summer Xia and his colleagues.

During the meeting, main areas of future cooperation between institutes were discussed. Mr Summer Xia stressed that the British Council is providing qualificaction trainings and English language trainings held by highly qualified English teachers. He also stressed that British Council is an official partner of IELTS and that they can help students to prepare better for this international test recognized by the great majority of universities world wide. 

Another area of cooperation could be participation of UFAZ students in the various cultural events of the British Council, celebrating this year its 25th year of activities in Azerbaijan.

Representatives of the British Council then took a short tour of UFAZ and visited its Library and laboratories.
