Delegation from Azerbaijani Universities visited Morocco

On February 8-11, a delegation representing universities of Azerbaijan - Baku State University, Azerbaijan State Oil and Industry University, French-Azerbaijani University, ADA University and Azerbaijan University of Languages, visited Morocco. The visit was organized by the Embassy of Azerbaijan in Morocco and initiated by Mohammed V University of Rabat.
During the visit, future cooperation and student exchange between higher education institutions of the two countries were discussed. Representatives of the mentioned universities delivered a presentation at Mohammed V University of Morocco, and the possible Memorandum of Understanding between the two countries in the field of education was also discussed.
Within the framework of the visit, the representatives of Azerbaijani higher education institutions also met with the Secretary General of the Ministry of Higher Education, Research and Innovation of Morocco, Mohamed Khalfaoui, and the Director of Cooperation and Partnership, Sanaa Zebakh.
According to the agreement reached with Mohammed V University, researchers of French-Azerbaijani University were invited to the 4th International Conference on “Codes, Cryptology and Information Security (C2SI)” to be held in Morocco on May 29-31, 2023. In addition, UFAZ PhD and 2nd year master's students were invited to the CIMPA school called "Mathematical Aspects of Post-Quantum Cryptography", which will be organized in Rabat from October 23 to November 4. Both events will be organized by the Mohammed V University of Morocco. Training of doctoral students under joint supervision in the field of IT security was also discussed.
The delegation discussed the role of educational ties in the development of relations between the countries at a meeting with the chairman of the Marrakech-Azerbaijan Friendship Association, Mohamed Faquiri, in Rabat.
Vazeh Asgarov, the Executive Director of the French-Azerbaijani University, and Latifa Nasibova, ASOIU Adviser to the Rector on Internationalization, were also on the visit as a part of the delegation.
