On February 23, a conference, entitled, "Khojaly Genocide: The Role of Youth and Youth Organizations in Recognizing the Tragedy" was organized by Youth Foundation of the Republic of Azerbaijan and the National Council of Youth Organizations of the Republic of Azerbaijan with the support of French-Azerbaijani University. Member of the Milli Majlis, Doctor of Sciences in History, Professor Musa Gasimli, deputy of the Milli Majlis Jeyhun Mammadov, executive director of French-Azerbaijani University, member of the Board of YAP, Doctor of Philosophy in History Vazeh Askarov and Chairman of ARGTMSH Azer Aliyev attended in the conference.

First, memory of the Great Leader Heydar Aliyev, the martyrs who died for the independence and territorial integrity of our republic, as well as the memory of the victims of the genocide were commemorated with a minute's silence.

Welcoming the guests, Vazeh Askarov shared his views on the role of youth in the recognition of this tragedy and that 31 years have passed since the Khojaly massacre. Later, Professor Musa Gasimli and MP Jeyhun Mammadov informed the youth about the Khojaly massacre and exchanged views on what the state and the youth should do to raise awareness about this tragedy.

At the end of the event, the guests answered the questions of the participants.
