French-Azerbaijani University successfully organized its 2019 admission exam

On July 23 at 10am, UFAZ organized its 2019 admission exam to select the newly admitted 160 students.

For this 4th edition:

- 497 applicants that gained more than  500  points (on 700 points) during the State Entrance Exam in  group 1 registered online (310 applications received in 2016, 427 in 2017 and 523 in 2018) ;

- 453 of them took part in the exam held on July 23 (290 applicants in 2016, 385 in 2017 and 463 in 2018).

As a reminder, the average SEC score amongst the admitted was for the previous years:

  • 585 in 2016,
  • 590.5 in 2017
  • and 620 in 2018.

UFAZ admission exam, available both in Azerbaijani and Russian languages, lasted for 2h10min.

The exam, created by Strasbourg University experts, consist of a Multiple Choice Question Exam on the following disciplines: 

  • Physics (10 questions)
  • Chemistry (10 questions)
  • Mathematics (10 questions)
  • General scientific knowledge (10 questions)

And an exam in English language (essay and reading comprehension exercise).

The admission at UFAZ is based only on the UFAZ exam results (SEC results are not taken into account for the ranking). The whole admission process is organized and monitored by experts of Strasbourg University.

Depending on their admission results during UFAZ exam, students are offered places either on governmental basis (120 places) or on paying basis (40 places).

Students who do not succeed UFAZ entrance exam will have the  possibility to apply to other higher educational institutions in Azerbaijan. 

Exam results will be published online on July 25.

Admitted students will be studying in the following specialties: Geophysical-Geoscience Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Computer Sciences and Oil and Gas Engineering.
