Awarding ceremony of co-funded TotalEnergies-French Embassy scholarships at UFAZ

On May 12th, 2022 winners of the education scholarship program co-financed by TotalEnergies EP Absheron and the French Embassy in Azerbaijan were announced. Ten students of French-Azerbaijani University (UFAZ), Mahammad Aliyev, Ismayil Hasanzada, Kamran Ismayilzada, Asif Mammadov, Toghrul Babayev, Vagif Taghiyev, Nuray Damirchiyeva, Aydin Aliyev, Mahammad Nabizada, Agil Idriszada, will be studying in France for a master's degree during the 2022-2024 academic years.

In the presence of the ten scholarship holders selected for the 2022-2024 program, the Ambassador of France to Azerbaijan, Mr. Zacharie Gross, and the Executive Director of TotalEnergies EP Absheron B.V., Mr. Régis Agut, signed the new covenant for the allocation of joint-scholarships to 10 graduate students of UFAZ as part of the TotalEnergies-Quai d'Orsay Enterprise program.

10 scholarship holders are graduating UFAZ this year at bachelor’s level from Computer Sciences, Geosciences, Chemistry Engineering, Oil and Gas Engineering specialties and will continue studying in France at master's degree levels during two years in various prestigious French Universities in their field of specialties (Artificial Intelligence, Biotechnologies, Sustainable Future Energy, Materials of the future, Water Engineering, etc.)

TotalEnergies company will grant each scholarship holder a monthly study allowance covering living expenses in France, as well as their travel expenses between Azerbaijan and France and the possible organization of an intensive French language learning course.

At the same time, the French Embassy will grant the 10 selected students with the special status of French government scholarship holder, thus taking charge of the university tuition fees, accommodation assistance and social security in France and issuing a visa free of charge.

Co-funded TotalEnergies - French Embassy scholarships cover engineering programs in the following areas: Geophysics, Chemistry, Computer Science, Environment and Energy. The exam consists of 2 stages, a written exam and an interview. In the first stage, candidates take a written exam in mathematics and logic. In addition to professional knowledge, candidates are required to know English and French. 15 candidates with the highest results take part in an interview at TotalEnergies EP Absheron B.V. company.
