On May 7 2018, UFAZ received guest visitors from France: the President of the Association of the Friends of Azerbaijan, former member of the French National Assembly, Mr Jean-Francois Mancel as well as the Secretary general of the Association, the chairman of the Maison de l'Azerbaidjan Mrs Mirvari Fataliyeva and Mr Gilbert Meyer - the mayor of  the city of Colmar (Alsace) - the French city that has been twinned with the city of Sheki (Azerbaijan) since 2015. 

This visit took place as part of the "Lets explore Azerbaijan" project (organised by the Association) where 30 guests from France are going to explore Shaki, Shemakhi and other cities of Azerbaijan until May 8. The goal of the trip organized by the Associaton of the Friends of Azerbaijan is to discover the opportunities of the tourism in Azerbaijan and learn more about the cultural and other potential ways of cooperation between France and Azerbaijan. 

At UFAZ, the French guests met with the administration and talked about possible cooperation plans, including meetings and further collaboration with the private sector representatives of France that might be organised in the future. Guests visited the premises of the university and were introduced to UFAZ activities and the student body.
