On September 19, 2018, Rector Mustafa Babanli met with the newly admitted UFAZ students to congratulate them with their admission at UFAZ and the beginning of their academic year.

The Rector stressed the fact that the interest for UFAZ continues to rise, as is shown by the average state exam score of the applicants, which is over 620 compared to last year’s 590.

He noted that all the students will receive individual laptops which will facilitate their education at UFAZ and serve them throughout all their time at the University.  

Rector emphasized the launch of a six-floor laboratory that would become one-of-a-kind in Azerbaijan and will give students and faculty even more opportunities for research activities. He also mentioned the 2-weeks Summer School organized in the University of Strasbourg for UFAZ students with best academic results.

UFAZ Director Vazeh Asgarov underlined the opportunities that will open to the students of UFAZ. He noted that student ID cards of the University of Strasbourg will be distributed later this year adding that UFAZ students can benefit from exactly the same privileges as the students of the University of Strasbourg.

Later, the Rector presented UFAZ student ID cards and laptops to the three top-scorer students of the admission entrance exam 2018 - Maryam Babayeva, Laman Jalilova and Kamran Ismayilzadeh.
