Please present yourself and give a brief description of your background? 

My name is Zahra Afrassiabian. I took my master in mechanical engineering from Khajeh Nasir Toosi University in Tehran. Then, I started to work. After a couple of years I decided to continue my Phd education believing that it was a good bridge between my professional experience and high education as PhD. 

What was your first impression on Baku city?  

Before coming to Baku, I heard a wonderful song that I was lucky to play also as violinist in international symphony orchestra symposium. This song belongs to the one of the greatest Azerbaijani‘s singer “Rəşid Behbudov Bakı Gözəl Şəhər mahni” and when I arrived here for the first time I totally felt that song, "Baki əziz şəhər, mehriban diyar".

What was your first impression after the first session with UFAZ students? 

Super kind, full of respect and very nice people with a big heart. Such a sweet souvenir that convinced me despite a couple of job opportunities received in France I decided to come back to UFAZ again. I took also so much kindness and generosity from all the people in UFAZ which helped us to do our job in chemical engineering laboratory in the best way. 

What is your advice to each UFAZ student? 

It is hard time for Azerbaijani student and I can only encourage UFAZ student to hold on and move on and wish you peace. 

According to your opinion what are the opportunities that a French education system presents for UFAZ students? 

The French higher education system is recognized for its scientific excellence. In technical and technological fields, training is based on a solid foundation of scientific knowledge (common core) which prepares students to integrate their desired discipline in the best possible way.
