On March 13, 2019, Country Managing Director, Elshan Zeynalov made an introductory presentation about Alstom company at UFAZ, followed by a 2h technical session on Traction System chaired by Alstom Traction System Skill Leader, David Cypers.

The world leader in integrated transport systems, Alstom develops and offers a range of solutions like high-speed trains to metros, tramways, and other passenger solutions as well as customized services for the city infrastructure. 

The introductory presentation covered mostly the concepts of Alstom Transport (state-of-art solutions created for public authorities, transport operators and individual passengers) including future projects concerning Azerbaijan like the potential tramway project for the city Baku, for which Alstom will be looking to hire young and motivated specialists from Azerbaijan.

The technical session that followed introduced to UFAZ 3r year students notions and technical basis about Traction system - a core competency for Alstom company. 

Such training was designed together by Alstom and UFAZ administration in order for the students to diverse their professional orientation, and further develop their cross-curricular skills.

The lecture ended up with a Q&A session between students and Alstom representatives.
