On March 18, 2019, The Association of Football Federations of Azerbaijan awarded the winning football team of UFAZ. It was for the first time in Azerbaijan that teams of the same university have organized independently a fair-play without the participation of referees. 

The Football Club Leader Mikayil Mustafayev (L2, Computer Science) was the one to initiate the UFAZ Championship. He greeted the students and AFFA guests about how it all started in February and how hard it was to get all the team members working together without the intervention of referees. 

Jahangir Hasanzada, the Mass Football Department Chair thanked the UFAZ administration, namely the Director Vazeh Asgarov, Secretary General Charlotte Payen and the PR Manager Nazrin Mirzayeva for the motivation and support shown to students in the organization of student clubs and initiatives. Vazeh Asgarov then spoke about the importance of a healthy lifestyle and its effect on society. 

The UFAZ Championship final round kicked off March 17, 2019. All the four specialties were represented with 12 teams participating in the final tournament. Two teams met in the finals - the third-year students of Computer Science and the first-year students of the Oil&Gas engineering.
