On October 23, 2019, ASOIU Rector, Professor Mustafa Babanli met the 4 new permanent French professors who started teaching at UFAZ for the 2019 / 2020 academic year.

UFAZ Director Vazeh Askarov, Secretary-General Charlotte Payen, Professor of Physics, Robine Merine, Professor of Chemistry Maxime Florent, Professor of Computer Science Igor Peretta and Professor of Mathematics Mamadou Ndao attended the meeting.

Rector Babanli recalled that UFAZ is a successful and important project in the bilateral cooperation between Azerbaijan and France. Mentioning the new trends and action plans of UFAZ, Rector also underlined the importance of the role of the permanent French professors in the training of local faculty members through sustained cooperation and teamwork with Azerbaijani professors, towards the general improvement of the quality of education provided at UFAZ.

Faculty staff of the French-Azerbaijani University (UFAZ) highly qualified French and Azerbaijani professors delivering lectures in English language, selected and approved in collaboration with Strasbourg University. 

For the academic year 2019 / 2020, the faculty team of UFAZ University consists of:

4 permanent French professors providing lectures in technical subjects (computer science, mathematics, physics, and chemistry);

35 permanent Azerbaijani professors;

75 short term French Professors sent by the universities of Strasbourg and Rennes 1.
