On December 16, a screening of the short film "270 moments of Shusha" was held at the French-Azerbaijani University within the framework of the Shusha year.
Faculty and students of UFAZ attended the eventwith the participation of the film's project manager and journalist Lala Azertash. At the event, the national anthem was played, and then there was a minute of silence to honor the memory of our martyrs.
Lala Azertash informed the audience about the history and creation of the film. The events in the film took place after the 44-day Patriotic War. The hero of the film, Natavan, came to visit Shusha, whom she had forcibly abandoned at the age of 5. The hero's intention is to touch the history, convey the real landscapes of Karabakh and the truths of Azerbaijan to the world through the photo-exhibition - "270 moments of Shusha". In addition, the film recreates a real historical event, the chess game between the famous Azerbaijani poetess Khurshudbanu Natavan and the famous French writer Alexandre Dumas, which ended with the victory of the khan's daughter.
At the end of the event, Vazeh Askarov, Executive Director of UFAZ and member of the NEP board, expressed his gratitude to Mrs. Lala. He noted that Shusha has been declared the cultural capital of the Turkish world in 2023. Vazeh Askarov and Lala Azertash called on UFAZ students to be active in conveying the realities of Azerbaijan, regardless of where they work in the future.
