French-Azerbaijani University announced its 2019 admission results

On July 23, UFAZ organized its 2019 admission exam to select the newly admitted students.

First results were shared with the applicants on July 26, and on August 2, overall admission process was finalized.

For this 4th edition:

- 497 applicants that gained more than  500  points (on 700 points) during the State Entrance Exam in  group 1 registered online (310 applications received in 2016, 427 in 2017 and 522 in 2018) ;

- 455 of them took part in the exam held on July 23 (290 applicants in 2016, 385 in 2017 and 463 in 2018);

- 139 students admitted to UFAZ for the 2019 / 2020 academic year (142 students in 2016, 145 in 2017 and 141 in 2018);

- Number of newly admitted female and male candidates is 31 (22.3 %) and 108, respectively. (32.6 % in 2016, 23.4 % in 2017, 29.1% in 2018);

- The average SEC score amongst the admitted for current year is 602.5 (585 in 2016, 590.5 in 2017 and 620.6 in 2018), while 72 of newly admitted students received more than 600 / 700 SEC score;

-83 of the admitted candidates are high-school graduates of Azerbaijani school department, while 56 of them come from Russian school department.


Depending on their admission results during UFAZ exam, each year, students are offered places either on governmental basis (120 places) or on paying basis (40 places). Admitted students will be studying in the following specialties: Geophysical-Geoscience Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Computer Sciences and Oil and Gas Engineering.
